What we hold

  • Account: your email address, your password (stored by our sign-in provider) and your organisation.
  • Billing: your plan and payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
  • Business profile: details you enter about your business, such as its address, phone, email and social profiles.
  • Your sites' content: the pages, images and details the WordPress plugin syncs, and what we generate from them (llms.txt, summaries and their edit history, FAQs, alt text and schema).
  • AI visibility: the questions and competitors you track, and the AI answers we store.
  • Crawler events: visits to your site by AI crawlers (which bot, which page, when).
  • AI referrals: visits to your site that arrive from AI assistants, including the full referrer URL.
  • Webhooks: the endpoints you set up and a log of each delivery, including what was sent.
  • Usage: how much of your plan you have used, and logs of AI usage and cost.
  • Sign-in and request records: our sign-in provider (Supabase) and host (Vercel) keep IP addresses and browser details.
  • Support access: our staff can view your account to help you, including signing in as you to see what you see. Each such action is logged with the staff member's IP address and browser.

Why we use it

We use this data to provide the service you signed up for (our contract with you). We keep security and request logs, and use usage data to run and improve the service, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping it secure and working.

Who receives it

  • AI providers, which process your site content and questions to generate content and run visibility checks: OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
  • Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), ScreenshotOne (page screenshots and rendering) and Sentry (error reports).
  • IndexNow: when your site syncs, we submit your page URLs, which IndexNow shares with search engines such as Bing and Yandex.
  • Webhook endpoints you set up, which receive the events you subscribed to.

We don't sell your data.

Where it is processed

Our functions run in Frankfurt and our database in Zurich. Most of the providers above are US companies, so some data is processed in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. How we handle your data says what deleting a site or your account removes. To have it deleted, ask us at hello@wearego.digital.

How we handle your data

We send your content only to OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, through their paid business APIs. Under their current API terms they don't use API inputs or outputs to train their models; each may keep requests for a limited time (typically up to 30 days, longer if flagged for abuse) to detect misuse.

Deleting a site removes its pages, generated content and edit history, images, questions and AI answers, competitors, crawler and referral records, reports and embed keys. Two things stay until your account is deleted: the AI cost lines for that site (model, tokens, cost, and the page address and title, but no page text) and the log of webhook deliveries about it.

Deleting your account removes your organisation, all its sites and everything above, and your sign-in. We keep records of our staff's support actions, which can't be changed or deleted, and our sign-in provider's log of sign-ins (email and IP address). Stripe keeps the payment records it must keep. Page addresses already submitted to IndexNow can't be recalled. Vercel, Sentry, Resend and ScreenshotOne keep their own logs for their own periods.

Our database backups are kept for up to 7 days. If we ever restore one, we repeat every deletion made since that backup.
